Default 16x9 +9????

Looking at a set of wheels that are 16x9 +9 in the rear. I was wondering if anyone could give me an idea as to whether these could fit in the rear of an ek hatch if I do not roll the rear fenders? Reason being there was some filler used in shaping the rear and rolling may be too risky to do.

I would be stretching/going negative camber with these. Thanks all.

Without the fenders being rolled, I highly doubt you'll fit much wider than a 7.5" with about a +15 offset.

It's still going to be difficult. You may get away with it, but I have a sneaking suspicion that you'll rub.

FIRST decide on what size tire you are going to get. THEN find a wheel whose width fits.

On a '97-00 Civic with 16" wheels, you should be using 205/45-16 or 215/45-16 tires. 16x9 is too wide for either of those tire sizes. 205/45-16 should not be mounted on wheels wider than 16x7.5. 215/45-16 can be mounted on 16x8 but no wider. I recommend 16x7 so you can use either 16" tire size.

i would suggest grinding them if you are scared.

and go shopping for camber arms that can adjust to negative if u do not like the stance...n if u plan on dailying this car look into a shop that works on lowered cars n offers lifetime wheel alignments.

so you guys think if I grind the lips and camber the rear with a slightly stretched tire I could make it work in the rear even if I am low?
