yes it matters..... each wheel company is different as to which offset will fit the s2k....

for example, i had 17*7 front 17*8 rear work emotions, 47 offset front and rear.......

also, that rear tire size is to narrow......

you should be able to run a 245 *40 rear which is what the 04- come with.....

I have a similar question so I'm not going to start a new topic. I going to buy some Advan RGII's F-17x7.5 and R17x8.5. What offset will I need, and what tire sizes should I run? I want the widest possible tires without rubbing and maintaining safety.

F-225/45/17 ???
R-255/45/17 ???

48 front offset
50 rear offset

you will probably get some rubbing in the rear w/ that size tire....

i had 255 40 on mine and it rubbed on larger bumps....

are you lowered? how much?

I'm thinking with those offsets cmdr430 is right and you'd want to run a 255/40 in the rear.

Its a shame that more companies don't make wheels in offsets that are more optimal for this car. I love my 9" wide rears but I'm pretty much stuck with my CE28N's unless I want to go to a two piece wheel like a Work Meister.

I didn't think the type of wheel really matters.

If you have a 17x8 +55 offset in a Work Emotions wheel, it will be the same size & fitting as a 17x8 +55 in a SSR Comp wheel. The type of wheel shouldn't matter, its only the specs. Or am I misunderstanding something?

I ordered some Espelir springs. I think its a 20/30 mm drop. So would you recommend a 245/45 rear tire?

I called gruppe-s and they said the Advan RGII's for the S2K were a +45 for 17x7.5 front and +50 for 17x8.5 rear.

The offset depends on the width of the wheel. I have 18X8 in the with +51 offset, and 18X9 in the rear with +63. This is a perfect combo.
