16 on 89 hatch

will 16 be to big on a hatch will it rub when i turn

It all depends on the tire size you go with. Can 16's fit with the proper sized tire? Sure.

wheel width/offset, tire size and suspension mods will all play a factor. In general, you should be able to fit a 16" wheel on a '89 hatch fairly easily.
