Default Working with Brass

What is the best way to work with brass components? Plumbers seem to solder copper joints together, but what is the best method of joining 2 brass components?

I use Sil fos for brazing copper, copper nickel, bronz, and brass, its alot cheeper than silver solder. But to steal use silver solder.

also need a hi temp flux, not acid flux. Handy flux is comon brand.
