what welder to buy?
what type of welder should i buy?i want something cheap so i can weld in rust repair panels.anyone have any lukc with a certain type of welder?will flux core work?any help and advice is appreciated.thanks
A 110v MIG machine is all you need. It's really the best for the job, since you can put a quick tack down with minimal heat and distortion. As mentioned, flux core isn't going to be the best thing. It will work, but most sheetmetal work is just tacked, and flux can be left in small crevices between the pieces.

Another good thing about a 110/115/120 is if your friend needs some welding done but cant come to you, you can go to him! just plug it into the wall an your good to go. I just got a millermatic 140 with autoset yesterday.
