what do you do?
I work a for Dupont in there machine shop. It is a research and design shop so we make differnt things everyday out of all differnt types of materials. We also have a weld shop. With a tig, mig, stick, and a programmable plasma cutter. Its pretty cool working somewhere and being able to use all the machines you want to make stuff for your car.
I work here in Charleston SC, at a shop called European road and Racing. WE service exclusively European cars as well as a dozen or so race cars from around the area and prep a few cars for the Tire Rack One Lap event. I am one of the Techs there. I mostly work on the BMW's and Volvos but have also spend a good amount of time on the 355's and TR's, as well as a few 911's/930/993's. For those of you who have never had the privilege or curse to work on euro stuff, its a PITA! Everything is different, and the all break.
I work at this place called High School
3 hours a day i have acidemics and 2.5hrs a day i work at cars in the Auto Technoglies program out at our "Carreir Center"

I work at a .com and hope I don't get laid off. Although these days it seems to be less of a problem. If anyone has a job for me that can pay the bills and has nothing to do with the .com industry, I'll take it.
Just got the welder, so I'm just welding tons of random things in my garage till I get it right.

lol...well hopefully by the time you graduate, you'll be able to spell "career"....sorry couldn't resist...and yes I know I'm a dick...
I'm a testing/project coordinator at an R&D facility. I run breadboard testing on fluid systems (brake, power steering, and cooling systems for OEMs). Almost every car on the road has been evacuated and filled by our processing equipment. Did you ever wonder how fluids are dispensed into your vehicle on the assembly line? (hint..evacuation and fill).

I work in the technical sales engineering position at our family owned/run hvac business. We manufacturer all kinds of comercial and industrial louvers and control dampers, as well as electic and pnumatic controls + a host of other stuff. I talk cfm, static pressures....etc... all day.
We have a complete sheet metal / machine shop, around 9000sq/ft. We have everything lol
I taught myself how to mig, tig operate hydraulic breaks, shear's...etc...
Over the last 2 years I have also been building up my own fleet of machinery! I fabricate complete turbo kits, collectors, manifolds, all kinds of automotive fabrication. I've turboed 90% of the cars in my city lol

Senior Design Engineer doing medical developement for various defense contracts by day, wannabe master fab guy by night. Except I don't get to work on all kinds of cool cars, just my own and the turbo bikes. Currently building a RWD 2g Talon for street use and a honda owning Turbo 4 Talon.
I operate a CNC grinder. I sharpen endmills and make/sharpen specialty tools for the automotive and aerospace industry at our family business. On my spare time I’m either working on my uncles race car or my civic.
i'm an industrial designer. i worked for ford early in my career as an automotive stylist, but i got too burned out on it. too much of a good thing, but i grew up in detroit, so the inspiration was all around me.
now i work for a private firm designing everything from consumer electronics to office furniture.
my fab skills are shadetree-ish, but i can do it. i certainly know when i'm in over head, and will admit it.
personally, i think a good weld is a sexy as a ferrari.

I've been in the auto collision repair industry for 5 years now, have a "associates degree" in collision repair, I-CAR certification in about 20 things... ranging from painting to welding. Spent a year doing only structural repair on Acuras\Hondas\BMW's\Mercedes\VW\Audi\Porsche for a large dealership.
