Welding Titanium?

Default Welding Titanium?

I know its a newb question. but at least the forum is still a newb itself! Could someone explain to me why no one welds titanium?

please enlighten me on how you would mill an exhaust out of Ti.

I stand corrected... for sheet applications... I was thinking about parts that are not sheet based. Like a bulk head... you would not weld it togther from several pieces, but mill it from billet... but it's all moot, you can weld it

Did the area around the weld not turn blue due to the shielding gas?

you have to weld it in a inclosed invirement (no air) or is starts on fire at least that what i have been told

We can weld titanium

Although i myself have not welded titanium I have been told that its easier then stainless because the puddle is easy to control and does as you ask
