Default Welding courses question?

Ok so not to totally noob it up, but i was just curious on some suggestions. I was looking at a local welding school. The way their courses are scheduled is they pretty much have it set up for new welders to start with a 6 week stick welding course. But since i will mainly just be doing panal welding and exhaust welding i wanna focus on being able to mig and tig weld. So my main question is should i follow their layout with stick first(which isnt used that much these days) and lead up the mig/tig classes, or try to find another school.

no, stick really doesnt use any similar techniques. if anything start with oxy, then move to tig. you dont need to take a mig course unless its combined with tig.

best bet though is to save the money and go straight to the tig class.
