Default Welder

Looking to finally buy a TIG welder, have some experiance with ARC and MIG, but want to do some aluminum stuff, and make it cleaner looking. Wasnt lookin to spend a fortune, what do you suggest for a decent welder to get started with.

I have a friend with a Miller Syncrowave 300 that he wants to sell.. Besides being the size of my garage and old, is that a good welder, or should i hold off and try to get a new lincoln or Miller Syncrowave 200. Or have any other suggestions?

How much is he selling it for? Get the Syncrowave 300 if you can afford it, especially if it comes with a water cooler. Those things are work horses and last a lifetime.
