Default Traction bars

I'm thinking of making some one off traction bars for my application but I have a couple questions.

1st and foremost what kind of results have you expirienced with them?
2nd I was looking at FR's and I understand what their talking about as far as mounting it on the same plane as where the control arm pivots, bit they didn't really say much about where it attatches to the control arm. I'm ASSuming that you're just getting a pick up point off the control arm,to keep it from moving front to rear, but doing it in such a way that you still retain full range of motion without binding. Is that correct? If so does anyone have any pics of the part where it's bolting up to the control arm? I'm ASSuming it's like the front attatchment and just hiem joints and clevis'?

TIA
Justin

What application? I could tell you the basic principle behind traction bars but a RWD traction bar is a lot different than a FWD.

I would assume that he is referring to FWD since honda only makes 1 RWD car and this is a honda forum. Other than that I have no knowledge of suspension.

I was under the assumption that most posters here were FWD. I didn't see any other ones that FR made, anyway it's for a FWD Corrado. The more I think about it,why the hell would I be talking about control arms if it was for RWD?!? Annnyway We already have the lower cross member made so it wouldn't be that big of a deal to go forward and do the traction bars at this point.

Actually the more I look at it,chances are I'm not gonna have room to do them anyway because of the transmission, but I'm still interested in hearing more about them for future refrence.

There are actually severa; Honda Vehicles that are RWD, and many people who visit this forum who don't even own Hondas.

In any case, most RWD cars have rear control arms. Actually, pretty sure they all do, whether is was a coil spring, leaf spring, panhard bar or 4-link.

But for your FWD application... If you don't have room, you could just use roll center correctors. Raising the roll center greatly aids in reducing wheelhop.
