Default Strut bar material

Im interested in making my own strut bars. I would like to use the same bar that Pwjdm uses. Anyone know where to get it?

Cromoly is what I'd use.

Isn't the PWJDM stuff AL?

Yeah that passwordjdm is aluminum. I think tomorrow I will go to my local metal supply and check out what they have. I would like stainless but I am worried about weight. I weld stainless very well and haven't ever tried aluminum.

you could use Streamline tubing.

pretty expensive.

can also look at Bicycle tubing sellers.
can get cool stuff like Reynolds chromo tubing, butted tubing, easton aluminum tubing, in oval, round, etc. (top and down tubes)

Great thought on the bicycle tubing. Thanks.

Yeah, it is going to be for my personal use to begin with. If it comes out the way I want and have time to make them I will sell them.

Nice links. I have used stuff from aircraft spruce with great results.
