Thank's, the 2 heavy boosted cars both leaned out at the same boost pressure, with just the intake change. (they were close on the limit of there injectors I think)
I got on the small port stock head, about 25whp and 24wtq gain, starting at about 2600rpm to red line.

We use 1/8" thk mat. don't like using thin stuff to much, so lately I have been making molds for our plenums.
James looks good.

Intake stacks we make them.

I'm thinking they are just bent pieces of the 1/8" plate. That's what I would do.

Have you ever tried bending 1/8" **** bending it round would not be easy

where do you get the little velocity stack looking dealies from? Im gonna make an IM for my 2JZ, but I cant find those things anywhere? Do you flow test any of them to make sure each cylinder is getting the same airflow? This will be my first IM so I need to do a lot of research first...

The velocity stacks we make for our intakes, There has been flow testing of the intakes and they are as close as we can get them. There are other plenum designs that can make it better but time and cost to manufacture the main draw backs in making them.

Nice looking work monster! What kind of math did you use to figure out plenum size, runner length and velocity stack height on the floor of the plenum?
We do a basic bolt on intake for 2JZ's, a little more simple but only due to it being sold as a "simple" setup.

keeping this thread alive

All sensors are going underneath the plenum so you wont see them
Still have to make the water elbo and the filler neck will be on it as with plenum water sensors go underneath

They all look awesome!

I love to weld aluminum!

I get to weld up aluminum and military and aerospace everyday at work. Hopefully someday I can get a little creative with my own car.

I wonder how well aluminum headers would do. Aluminum disipates heat very well but may warp to easily. Hmmmm.
