sandblasters!
Here is a pretty decent write up on sandblasters and the compressors required to drive them. http://www.old-engine.com/abrasive.shtml
I personally have a TIP pressure pot sandblaster from TIP in Canfield, Ohio. I don't know if they are still in business. It is the best $450 sandblaster I could ever want. Years of great service, and it will blast your socks off. I run it off a true 5 HP Industrial compressor and 80 gallon tank with aftercooler and water separator.
Edit: TIP and Truman's hardware has gone out of business. This is the company they sent me to for repair parts. Their prices look similar to what TIP was. http://www.brutmfg.com/Blasters.html
The model 101H would be equivalent to the one I have.
