The only pros are cosmetic and bling bling OMG I have a JDM RHD car.

It's all cost with no performance benefit at, ZERO, NONE.

Actually if anything it is a performance loss, because you will not be as good driving on the other side. Shifting will be awkward, etc, etc.

ever try locking the door form the INSIDE, while the door is OPEN?
go try it on the left and the right tell me if theres a difference

the purpose is to let you get used to locking the car from the outside with a key so even a "fool" wont be able to lock the keys in the car.

but you can easily bypass this from the inside by pulling the lever and locking it.

^^^^^^ Bingo

Also if you have power windows the passenger will have the master controls, ie fake.

Look, converting to RHD is a show thing. If that is what you like, then do it, but if you are looking to do it because of performance then don't. It's as simple as that.

Good Luck.

also think about your everyday life...you cant go thru drive-thru's for food, ATM pull ups or whatever..unless you go backwards, lol. But think about driving on the raod and wanting to pass someone, you wouldnt be able to see if any cars are coming for on-coming traffic. RHD is more for bling and show...but it is badass to have i guess

You might want to drive a RHD car first.I live in Canada and we have lots of RHD cars like SKylines etc and it sucks being on that side of the car as passing on the highway, left hand turns at intersections are dangerous If you are really obsessed with beging mad tyte Japanese or whatever go for it but its really a pain in the *** and alot of work just to make your car shittier to drive.

Chassis codes, engines, transmissions, wiring harnesses, exterior options, interior options, electrical options, headlights, taillights, seats, window glass, drivetrain, emissions, paint colors, steering column light, dash vent(s), parking poles, coin slots, half mast antennas, lips, etc etc etc...

Cars from different parts of the world have different accessory options and the different laws affect lighting and such, so there actually can be a lot of small differences that you might not see at first glance.

well i want to do this conversion for more along the line of being different....i have a cx hatch so there is no power options so i dont have to think about door locks power windows or realy anything of that sort. both sides are the same except the inside door lock on the drivers door. that can be fixed with an alarm and power door locks installed. thanx for all the input this will be more of a show car than anything else. i also have a daily driver, yet another civic.

we did it a couple of years ago and its alot of work.Unless you can do the wiring yourself you will be way over your head.cutting the car and welding the new front clip on is the easy part.Keep in mind you half to buy a complete halfcut to do this because you need alot of parts.

You can now import the 92(in japan they started in 91) style civics so it would actually be cheaper to just buy a rust free car then to cut up yours.

the only time i see rhd as a plus is when you have a rwd car and no space. i have a corolla with an sr20 in it and i couldnt use the stock turbo mani and turbo because of the steering column, if i went rhd i wouldnt have this problem. my solution? have a buddy make a manifold and get a big turbo! way more fun.
