RHD conversion help???

Icon2 RHD conversion help???

Okay guys i got a hold of a front clip from a 1996 ITR with everything to do a right hand drive conversion, my question is, will i be able to use the integras firewall on my 1995 honda civic?

I'm sure there's a WAY of doing it, but things would probably be out of spec by quite a bit. The firewall should be handled with care and put in as accurately as possible since steering, heating, A/C, dash, etc depends on in it.

I wouldn't take the chance of putting the intergra's into the civic, unless you want to spend your time doing MORE fabrication, but it's also a risk to those around you on public roads.

Im not going to be cutting half of my car and rewelding the tegs clip on, Im just gona use firewall, i have seen people use integra dashes in civics so i was guessing it was the same firewall

Since you have both, then just compare the shapes. the RHD one is usually pretty much just a mirrored one.

i looked at them from the engine bay and they look quite the same, but someone told me that they were completly different firewalls, i just wanted to know before i tore my car down

as long as if physically fits(maybe with trimming), you can safely route the steering etc and you are a competent fabricator it shouldnt be that big of a deal. It doesnt really take a real welder to throw down some spot welds. My first welding project was splicing two good halves of two different 1986 preludes together :-P Seemed to work out ok. Ending up becoming a professional welder after that haha.
