does anyone know if anyone has made a combustion engine out of wood or if it would even work and how long for
obviously things like valves and springs would need to be metal but lots could be wood and people do silly things
a buddy of mine asked as a joke for cams for a present and i said id carve some out of wood and then i got this into my head lol
please dont flame me im just curious

If you're curious, at least use some common sense. It's very similiar to asking this "well I was on top of the 500ft buildings and I was wondering what I would look like if I take the plunge, I'm just curious"

ye i understand that but hard wood can take along time to burn but i know it wouldnt be long before it messed up if it ever worked

ive seen many of these little home made minature engines and was just curious if some one had a go using wood is that so bad
im not saying im gona go make a complete lightweight balsa wood car and go racing

there was one guy who spent 25+ years of his life building a minature ferrari so why is this so far fetched to believe that someone may have tried

dude I'm googling them right now to see if you can make suggestions. I was watching it today and they where making concrete gliders. Some dude from nasa said it could be done. I fell asleep before I found out if they got it to work.
