Default radiator support

I have a crx with a b16 and a turbonetics manifold t3 turbo. I was considering cutting the bottom radiator support and welding in a piece of 1/8 inch thick 2" angle iron. will this affect the structure or ridgidity of my car. I am doing this so i can put a larger scirroco style radiator in.

pics of what you want to do might help... i'm sure it would be fine as long as you don't remove too much material.

generally speaking the radiator support is simply that, something to support the radiator. it is not a structural piece per say.
