Icon2 Radiator Core Support

Hey just wondering if anyone had some info on replacing a radiator core support on my 98 ex. I've heard there are some welds that need to be cut but I personally am not sure. The vehicle was in a minor accident and I was hoping to straighten it out a bit before putting a b series in it.

your gonna swap a b series into a 98 accord? these cars are heavy. that little b series engine/tranny wont like the accords fat ***. there are spot welds that need to be drilled out to remove the old radiator support

You're going to need to drill out the spot welds to remove the damaged support. I would recommend buying a specialty bit for that, as it helps to limit the damage of the panels that will remain on the car, making it easier to line the new one up to secure it.

Your request is a bit vague, so I don't know exactly what you want. Post some pictures of the damage, so people cane have a better idea of what is damaged.

That helps, core supports pushed down but I straightened it out as best as I could, the problem now is that the new headlights have a bit of gap between them and the bumper cover and I think the only way I'll ever line it up to my standards would be replacing the core support, It's fine for now but before I boost/swap it I wanted to replace it but wasn't sure what it all entails. Thanks for the feedback

http://www.harborfreight.com/catalog...weld+drill+bit

this is the bit ive used to do my core support..
took 1 1/2 bits to do drill out ol/new core support, and old/new sunroof.

you have to use a pilot drill bit.
