How do you guys accurately estimate a custom cage? I've heard people saying they charge per point? How much per point?

Make mine whatever you want
Price out the total cost of materials. Price out the labor when you actually build your first one. Use that labor time to pick a reasonable price on labor for that particular "point" cage, and price the other ones you do relatively to that base you have. It's easiest to price out a cage by point (6,8,10 etc). For any small custom add-on's or requests it's just as simple as figuring the extra labor time and material cost for whatever it is.
And Toxic, is that the price using chromoly?

This is a nascar style door bar.

Must be for a road racing setup. A lot of them use that as extra protection

~200 a point for chrome-moly seems to be the norm. Although 6-8 point bars are usually priced cheaper. So say 13-1400 for an 8-point instead of 1600(at 200 a point).
