post your backpurging setups!
For plugs I love using steel wool. The tighter you pack it the better it seals, I usually double pack the side that has the line going in and half pack the side coming out so that it has a slow bleed down.
I've been using this setup which I found on one of Weir's old posts. I just got the larger tank a couple of weeks ago and I want to get a new/good regulator for that one so I can use my M tank for the MIG and purging without switching stuff around.

I thought he was talking about where it comes off the tank(s). Agreed on the foil, or rubber caps for things further away from the weld. I keep all the caps from radiators and intercoolers and stuff for that.
for charge piping and 2.5in exhaust work a half a coke can works great. you can use the top half for the entry and the bottom for the cap. I never really backpurge because all my welding is crap anyway haha, i just remember reading that in passing.
The only time i have ever back purged was when welding a fuel sump in a tank, and that was mainly because i washed it out a ton of times but was still paranoid about the explosive possabilities. Thats where the inert gas comes in

For the other guys running a tee off a single tank, what do you run your gas at? I find that I need like 25-30 CFH to get good gas coverage that way, it's kind of hard to regulate the little valve thing by itself.
I run about 15cfh without the purge, I don't think that would be enough with some of the gas being diverted. I know on a seperate tank I'd run 5-10cfh for the purge so that leaves about half the gas for the torch if you do it that way. How are your welds coming out like that?
I crank mine up to like 25 when purging and adjust the valve on the purge line until the sound of the gas from the torch is about the same as when it was 15. So when I'm welding the purge line is barely running but between welds it fills the tube back up.
