Default is it possibble?

is it possible to put a v-8 in a vw bug. I know that it would be a hell of alot of fabrication, but if u put the engine up front it might hold it down. has anyone done this and has some pics or vids? or tell me that im a dumbfuck for thinking of this

you can do anything with enough time, money, and patients. However, given the time you posted - 'You been drinkin' - this is a honda forum

i too have seen this done. definitely a possibility with the money, knowledge, and fabrication skill. and if you dont have all three of those things goin for ya, then all you really need is a good chunk of money

It's been done before, however tons of fabrication is involved. There's even someone who managed to stuff a 427c.i. big block into the bug, but he moved the firewall and all, a little excessive but pretty cool none the less. That big of a motor in that little bug is like just sitting on the motor and driving it around. there's a video of it somewhere, i'll try to find it for you guys

I found some more info and examples for you...

Here's a company that produces parts for the swap with some info

Here's a bug modded for a 4.3l v6 showing a good amount of chasis fabrication even for a v6:
