Maybe you were low on sleep when you typed this.... I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and just plain point this out to you from my post which you quoted.....

"FYI....This isn't a personal attack on anyone...just saying something that I think needs said as I am not afraid to stand alone if necessary."

Low on sleep? Looks who's talking. Read my post again. The last sentence says: I know you said this is not a personal attack on anyone but you did quote me and I just wanted to set the record straight.

I could write a verbal attack to anyone but just because I say "This isn't a personal attack on anyone" that does not mean it isn't. It's still an attack. If it wasn't an attack you wouldn't have quoted me. If you wanted to speak on Lincoln and the hype on Miller than speak on it, but don't quote anyone. You put me up there as an example to support you hype theory. Because you did that it left me looking like someone that buy's things because of hype which was totally untrue. Don't put someone out there and think it's not a personal attack.

I have a Hypertherm Powermax380. Used it for the last 3 years and it has worked great. Never given me any problems. Sever 1/2".

I can, because ours blew up mid-season this year. A blue box, only 2 years old with low hours.

One of the the guys used it, correctly, set the torch back on the stand, 10 seconds later we hear a "womp" (the sound you think of about mortars firing". Needless to say, there was magic smoke and it was dead. We never found out what happened, but kudos to Miller parts turnaround, the Airgas tech had it back to us within a week.

For welders, there is no substitute for a Miller. For plasma cutters, it isn't the best in my experience (and not because they blow up).
