Default perhaps this is the place to ask this question...

none of the other forums really helped...they were all sponsor "let me sell you this!" kind of crap. basically, what i want to do is take off the door panels, dash, and maybe a few other goodies off my EP3's interior and paint them a gloss red. i have done the center console, and that was easy because it was already smooth and to apply the gloss and red was easy. but all the other parts are not completely level and have textures to them. i want it to be smooth. what do i do? what do i apply/sand then paint with in how many coats and what order? i want a more custimized look.

sand with a fine grit (higher the number the finer the grit) until you get the smoothness desired. wipe all the dust away before you paint/prime it. id say if your trying to make it look ''customized'' your looking for a more glossy finish.. to do this your going to want to spray a couple coats of clear coat over it. maybe that pointed you in the right direction ? good luck
