looking to buy a TIG welder in the coming weeks to weld a roll cage and some intercooler endtank. I was looking at the miller 300dx is that a good unit. what are some spec. that i should be looking for? thanxs!

i believe you get what you pay for. I just want to buy it once and only once. kind of like a 50 watt amp running 8 twelve inch sub. it'll work, but for how long before the amp worked itself dead and the sub overheat from lack of power. I have used mig in the past and it just sucks.

I do happen to have the money now. just asking questions to get feedback. pros and cons. wanna buy one before I buy other car parts for my car. you know how that goes.

If you just want to weld your intercooler and cage I dont see why you need a 6 thousand dollar welder ?
