It doesn't look that good, but as far as I read, I didn't see any "God's gift" attitude.

The guys on that forum were bashing him really harshly. I don't know why people have to be so rude when being critical of others' work.

Meh, welds could be better but we were all there once. The hardest part of doing this stuff for money is getting good paying customers. If they're doing that they'll probably get better.

Are the Merc flanges octagonal like that from the factory? or is that just something they did?

No they aren't like that from the factory. If you look, you can see that the flanges are all different sizes and shapes. They had to cut them by hand and probably a sawzall.

I agree with Engloid on this one... I mean, it does look like crap, but whatever. People buy it because they are marketing themselves better than you.

Go complain about that instead.

The funny part is, due to the fact this stuff is made for AMG's and Bimmer's they are probably getting paid five times what a Honda customer would pay. Sounds like they're the smart ones, regardless of how good their work is.

Why make parts for expensive cars when you can weld parts for Honda's at a 1/10th of the price, and have the 22 year old customer examine your welds like he knows what he's lookin at....lol. (ooohhh ahhhh...purple....blue....ooohhh aahhhh)

haha omg, that made me lol a little ... "ooh.. aaah ..purple" .. their mentality: "if it looks like a rainbow, its probably a good weld"

i remember reading on here perhaps a true statement and it goes something like "not all pretty welds are strong and not all strong welds are pretty"

either way, that guy prob made 5x what a honda manifold goes for on that header.. either he has customers with a lot of money and a "i dont give a ****" attitude, or the customer paid in advance and probably couldnt get his money back after he saw what he paid to have built. either way, hes lucky.
