JB Weld
I don't think anything can touch this...
I had pits in the deck of my LS block due to an idiot installing my blockguard with a hammer.
I would've had it resurfaced but at the time I was told the head I had was milled .035 which would've made my compression around SKY HIGH. lol.
There were only 2 pits I was worried about because they were obviously going to cause cyl 2 + 3 to leak...
Anyhow, I sanded it down with some 800 grit, put some JB Weld in there and razorbladed it smooth.
Then just lightly touched it up with some more 800 grit after it had fully hardened.
Held up for 3000 miles. Then it finally gave out. LOL. And that's why I'm doing a rebuild... but hey... 3000 miles for like what? $10.00 ??? Can't beat it.
LMAO

If I ever have to use jb weld I always try to use a piece of metal or something else that is strong underneet. I used a dime plus jb weld to cover up injector holes in manifolds before, works great.

jb weld is a godsend, my integra was wrecked when i bought it, it had the hood pushed up intoo the top of the head and the valve cover with a few cracks in both, jb weld fixed that **** right up in 10 minutes and for 4.49 instead of 60 bucks for a headgasket and like 5 hours of hard work to replace the head,
i also shaved my key hole on the trunk becaus someone tried to break into the trunk ******* it up, but i just did that tonight so i will know how it turnd out tomorrow
jb weld is awesome for dumbshit

JB Weld is the best, I actually keep it in my glove compartment. I never heard of it until I started turboing my honda, and went to the return on the pan...friend said "jb weld it"...I was like wtf?...grabbed the stuff and already went through 4 packs of the stuff. its fun

yes that stuff rocks too. The best part about it is that it can be used under water and it still cures completely. I've patched a hole in the bottom of a jet ski with it before. Never leaked again.
JB Weld is also pretty good for misc repair

HOLY EFF man....a socket fell inbetween my axle and my tranny case, when it rolled i popped a hole in the tranny about the size of a quarter..no one wanted to fix it...so JB welded it.....500 miles later....still good

JB weld actually works really well for shaving holes. Obviously not as good as welding them shut, but way bettery than bondo. And of course you're not gonna want to span large holes... but emblem holes, no prob

Another good product is something called lab metal. I use it to fill holes and use it like bondo for powder coating since it is conductive...best part is you can buy it in like 12 oz cans and its a one part system.

just the back,
The head on my oil pan drain plug is stripped like a bastard and I was thinking about JB welding a socket or something to it to get it off. Does anyone think that's going to work?
btw- 100% agree that zip ties are the ****.
