Default ITR muff delete

I've been wanting to do this for years..and now that I have my own tig machine and had a few spare hours...I finally deleted the muff on my ITR

goal was to open up the flow path, but look almost OEM..

I used a bunch of scrap pieces to fabricate this part. I'm new at TIG, so the welds got better as I neared the tip

JDM style sweetness:

ok..tempting..but not happening

not *too* bad under idle and part throttle. At WOT it's definitely insane though.

I like it a lot. Painted black I am sure very few people would notice a difference if they were not one of us crazies.

i kinda always hated 4 cylinder engines with straight exhausts cause TO ME it doesnt sound good....

but i am curious... post a vid i wanna hear it.

i actually had a pretty straight exhaust when i was turboed... it went from the turbo to a 24 inch magnaflow resonator to a twin loop exhaust.... at idle and low rpms it sounded pretty much stock... at mid rpms it was much louder and at the high rpms it actually wasnt that much louder than stock.... im not sure why. but i liked it that way though i wanted it to be as close to stock as possible in terms of sound

Yes, I bought the shop a couple of months ago. It's not a Suby only shop...I work on anything from Hondas to Vettes to Nissans, Subies, pretty much anything..
