Default ITB's

I want to make a set of ITB's for my D16 but I don't want to use crotch rocket ITB's. Anyone know of a manufactuer of small TB's I could use for this? GO ahead and spill your knowledge of ITB's so this thread will be useful to other people as well.

Probably. They make DCOE carbs for a d-series and they make ITB's that are direct replacements for their DCOE's . . . . . perhaps you can ask them?

I have a D-series manifold that is made for the webber carbs/itbs to mount right out to it. It's a manifold that bolted up to my D16A1 (89 integra motor) I'll take pictures.. but let me know if you are interested.

The b18c intake flange is alot different than the b18b. You might be able to fit it on there...but it would require alot of fabrication.

alright so if anyone is actually interested in doing this without bike ITBs and wants to go with the Webbers.. here is what you need. I was going to use this on my D16A1 engine from a 1989 Acura Integra. Please make sure this will fit your application before you buy..

PM me if you are interested.

can the webers or crotch rocket itbs be boosted on our cars without a rediculous amount of preperations?

in order to run boost on a set of ITBs you would need to create a plenum. something sealed that wont leak when there is positive pressure (boost) present.

if you are going to boost ITBs.. you are essentially going back to having an intake manifold again. If you wanted to boost your car I would stay with the intake manifold and get a larger TB if you think that's where the loss of power is comming from.

You'll need a dcoe intake manifold from http://www.piercemanifolds.com if twm doesn't have them anymore, and then you need these:

The manifold I'm selling is from Piercemanifolds. Make me a reasonable offer.

Reason for not wanting crotch rocket ITB's is because I want everything to go together like it should (not going to use couplers) and power. With real ITB's, you can choose your size, not with CR's.

Yes they can.
The skyline has ITB's and boost from the factory.

Well, sort of. No open ITB running Individual Velocity Stacks can be boosted with a single turbo or sequential turbos without creating a plenum before the ITBs and after IVSs, negating the need for the IVSs without some very serious aero work/design/study in the plenum. However, you could, I guess, boost ITBs/IVSs running 4 (or the number of cylinders of whatever car being worked on) turbos. Seadoo turbos come to mind. However, the complex nature of this setup would probably negate it's purpose.
