The reason this happens in the honda/asian import tuner industry is simply the prices are too low, which spurs all these backyard startups. Its sad, but its the cheap asses buying the **** that cause a lot of the problems, buying off shore **** and than expecting NA fabricators to produce higher quality parts in house for off shore prices... And of course the business owners foolish enough to try and support the market.

 

I feel ya guys, big time. I have completely abandoned fabrication as a career, and went back to school to finish my RT/Ultrasound degrees, then on to get my bachelor's/master's.

At least I will be able to afford my hobby.

I honestly hope it does. If thats what it takes for them to realize they have a serious problem...so be it. If a customer doesn't speak up, how does a business change? One day these businesses will realize that 75-90% of a companies income comes from RETURNING customer's NOT new customers.

Ive ordered from SLS many times and never had a problem! Im surprised so many other people have!

 

I only ordered from SLS once to get a one off flange they had in stock that I didn't feel like machining in house, they shipped it within a week and the quality was great.

 

Personally, I think a street tune is better than a dyno tune anyways...

 

fmfkid250, from a business standpoint, its guys like you killing the asian car tuner scene, yes we understand how you are able to survive because you have a full time job and all, but you are not going to be popular amongst other business men when you are undercutting them significantly.

 

hes not charging a bunch of money b/c hes not cliaming to be the best thing around.I respect what he is doing and honestly, for a fabricator/tuner to turn down 15/hr dyno time is stupid, no matter ur reason.
When he is an authrized hondata and AEM dealer, THEN his prices would be super low, but i dont think thats the case.

The only shotty buisnness practice i see here, is the public bitching and bashing of a local shop.

u guys should be working together.Sit down, come up with a plan and some prices and come back as a team.Much more effective, much more money.U guys are like each ohers half, and together u make a good tuner shop.

Sounds beautiful in theory....lol. Reality is always something different.

 

I hate to see business's going though this. Its the exact same sh*t around my way. Each shop absolutely hates one another.

 

theres no need, everyone should support the sport, even if they are competing buisness.

^^ im confused as to why you guys are arguing about tuning and other **** completely out of nowhere that has NOTHING to do with the op or this thread at all. start a new thread.

 

hmm............ well ive only ordered one thing from them and it was a non welded non flanged 3" T3 collector about 3 months ago and i got it within that week. i was very happy with it and i was even happier when i found the inside of the collector to be fused together already! (i hate doing that). after that i thought they were a stand up company so when anybody ever asked i said good things........ looks like that may be changing though, shitty.
