Default Hardtop Conversion

Anybody know a shop in Seattle that will cut off the top of my new Honda Insight, and fab me a removeable hardtop? If not, is there a minitruck or an S2K that could be modded to fit it? Can't believe I'm the only one that wants this...

No one makes a replaceable top for an insight. It's going to have to be a totally custom job. Look for a realllllly good custom body shop in your area to have a look at it. Most places wouldn't want to touch that job though in all honesty.

you are going to lose some gass millage with the extra weight they need to add to strenghten the frame just make sure the shop knows what the hell they are doing because thats a lot of precise work you dont just cut the top off. expect somwhere in the neighborhood of a 10k bill

oooohhh noooo!!!!!!!

either way, anyone that buys an insight for any reason other than swapping in a real engine and using it for some type or drag racing, is...well...just plain stupid

they don't even get that good of mileage. a local lady was getting like 32-35mpg out of it....haha...what a waste
