wow only 1/32" thick! Just curious, but with the flex from the engine torque dont you worry about it cracking?

that header looks great, how well would titanium headers perform? is the price right now the only thing from more mass production.

Actually, inconel is one of those metals that people usually think is something difficult to weld. In reality, it's exactly opposite. Anybody that is good tig welding stainless steel can pick up a piece of inconel and be laying beads just as nice within minutes. Inconel welds better than stainless does. I guess what I'm saying it that it's a cleaner metal and welds great.

It works great. The STOCK header on my 03 GSXR 1000 has a titanium header. There's not much aftermarket makers of headers for these bikes...cause the stock one is so good already. Plenty of companies make the cans, but not much for headers...

I'm thinking that the reason you don't prefer titainum is because it costs even more than inconel, but with very little gain....essentially the only gain will be less weight. And when you're using thin walled tubing already, the weight loss won't be all that great.

On the GSXR header...yes, they can be made better, but not at a cost that's worth the gain. In performance tests, the headers for this bike have a very narrow range of performance gains. I'm thinking it was something like 5hp from the best to the worst, with most being within the top 3hp. Therefore, paying that kind of money for it just isn't worth it.

If you can make me a better titanium header for under $600, let me know and I'll find you sales for about 40-50 of them

Nice manifold.

I am not really an engine guy, but am wondering about your design. Looks like you have a diverging converging section at the outlet of the pipe. Want to share why?

Well without getting too muhc into it the diverging converging section is known as the choke or the throat of the merge collector. this is what makes the whole header design as a whole work

proper sizing of this outlet with the proper designed primaries can result in good gains
