Default Flange weld

I bought a magnflow muffler.. and it does have flanges on it.. i was going to buy.. some flanges that were mild steel.. and the cat is stainless steel.. do i have to buy a stainless steel flange or what do i do.. thanks

YOu can weld the carbon steel flanges on it if you want to. It's recommended to use 309 when welding mild steel to stainless, but if that creates too much problem to get it, 308 or 316 will do fine for your application.

thanks.. cause i was going to buy some mild steel flanges and weld them on.. thanks..
