Default FJ custom headers

Just got these back form the coaters, wow!!!
They are 1 3/4" stepped up to 1 7/8", and 1/2" flange.
Also doing an intake/filter, and custom 3" exhaust.

Here is a comparo versus the wonderful stockers!!!

A decent 309 weld for me...

It's an exhaust specific ceramic coating, should last really long.
I think jet-hot has the same thing.

This is my first experience with it, I usually get that horrid looking silver crap, and it lasts forever. I have seen cars with 2-3 years on them, look like new.
Hopefully this is the same.

that blue is definitely "unique" heh

i'd like to see how it lasts too, or how it looks in the engine bay as far as matching the rest of the engine and components

We couldn't get a dyno run for a baseline, and he doesn't care anyway.
I was really hoping to see the gains.
The custom short-ram style intake I'm building will be a similar blue, but he just wanted the whole world to know about his custom headers...

We do ceramic coating as the set pictured, as well as other colors. The colors are as durible as the metalic finishes.

I was told today it's good for 1250 degrees.
The titanium one they sell is good for 2000.
They say the silver metallic is good for 1250 also, but
has more leeway. He said the blue and red are 1250, 1300 it falls off.

Im not sure what he's using, but none of the coatings "fall off" at 1250... They all continue to provide thier thermal retention properties ( up to 2k*), although the colors as well as the sterling ceramic, will begin to dull at those levels.

The dulling effect on the sterling coating, has to do with the melting point of aluminium, hence the make up of this coating.
