Default First weld impressions

Welder- Miller Syncrowave
Tungsten - purple
Gas - Argon
Material - Aluminum

So this was my first day of playing with my welder. I figured I would post this and try to get tips to be more consistent. Now I also attempted to weld two 3" straights together (aluminum) and BLEW right threw it. I was told to start from side to side and bridge them so the filler can have something to adhere too. Any tips would be great as I am trying to get better and practice as much as possible. Thanks.

I can't see the picture while I'm at work, but some more information would be nice, like amps, filler size, tungsten size, pre and post gas flow, cup size, gas lens, etc etc
