You do around here, especially during typhoon season. And yes, before the flaming starts, the skickers have been removed from the EG!

Overall, I like the FAL windows and would recomend them to anybody with some $ to throw around. And as stated before, I think they do cut out about 120 to 150lbs (you have to consider the shocks and mounts for the back window as well. They helped me hit 13.541 @ 103mph with full interior (LS/VTEC All motor).

how do these windows react to cold weather?

I live in wisconsin but I do not drive my car in the snow I park it for the winter, but I heard that they get foggy or messed up with the cold.

i haven't seen issues with cold temps, but someone else might want to chime in. it wouldn't be a good idea on anything you actually drive in the winter though, as an ice scraper would be a really bad idea.

i don't think it would be that bad when it cold out if you just had the side windows theres no need to scrap them but if you had the back glass. i would just turn the car on let it warmup and hit the defrost and your good to go.

the sides don't really save that much weight. silly to do w/out the rear.
and there is no more defroster if you do have th rear...

There is a coating for airplanes that they use on lexan and plexi glass, to protect it from scratches. I thinkits about $15 a bottle and covers 35 sq ft. It also peels off like film.

how much do you think a window weighs?

rear window is about 30lbs

side windows are about 15lbs each

so that is about 60lbs.

120lbs was to make a statement. it does save weight and does make a difference. at least for me it did.

wouldn't that be the SAME THING. stock windows removed = weight reduction

FAL windows weigh less than 5lbs for all 3 if that is what you are wondering

I wouldnt put FAL's on your daily driver. They do save weight not much in my opinion for a street car..but if every lbs. counts like in a tin can All Motor car or a ***** out Boosted car..then ide do it..i had some friends rock em for a year or two with no problems but wasnt too noise friendly etc. but these dudes were hard core quarter killers..and street racers that rolled out to the street races on slicks, open down pipes/headers, fully gutted etc. so i dunno..i woudnt do it..actually i would if someone gave em to me.
