Hey guys I wrote a post a little while ago looking for a place to buy 12 guage aluminum sheetmetal so i can practice tig welding running beads and learning. I was wondering has anyone ever orderd from here before and if so how was the service ? . Also will the aluminum sheet in the link below work for me and what I want to do with it. Again it's just for scrap and practice. Heres the link

Online Metals has been great to deal with for me; no complaints whatsoever.

Also, Speedy Metals has a very similar inventory (prices are similar or slightly lower, but watch the shipping charges), but OM will have some things that SM doesn't, and vice-versa.

(I typically end up ordering from SM just because they're physically closer to me, so shipping is quicker; if they're weren't, who I ordered from would be a coin toss.)

OM has sample packs you can pick up pretty reasonably, if you just want practice; you'll get multiple thicknesses, but smaller (4x4) pieces so you don't waste much. Also, see SM's "fire sale" page and OM's "clearance" page.
