Default Entry level MIG

I am looking to get a MIG welder. This will be my first and have no experience. I need to for small house projects and working on my race car. (immediate need it to weld window net in).
I was looking at the Lincoln Weld-Pack 175 and the SP-175. Any thoughts on these?
Is the Weld-Pack a Home Depot only item?

Try out the millermatic 180. I could swear millers start off your weld much nicer but have very little seat time on a comparable Lincoln.

So how many amps do I really need? I know the more the better, but...how much is enough?

well i was gunna go with a 140...but i do have a dedicated 220volt outlet...i'll just buy a 220volt extension cord and go with the 187.....don't wanna cut yourself short, might as well spend a lil more now than buy one and then sell it and buy the other

here is a link to the 187
http://store.cyberweld.com/hoha187migwe.html

the extension cord 50ft one..is right under it for 155....i dont think it comes witha bottle either, so add a bottle and then you're pretty much set

I like my Hobart handler, owned it for 4 years now and never had any problems w/it. Bought it from Northern Tools too.

I'm pretty sure those are 220v units. Keep in mind power requirements if you haven't already.
