engine driven question????

engine driven question????
I am in the market for a new welder and was just wanting to know how well Tig performance was with an engine driven welder like a bobcat or a Lincoln. I do alot of aluminum repairs on boats and cars and an engine driven welder would be alot more practical because then i could be mobile. Thanks in advanc e for any info you could offer.
