Default door hinges

whats the average price of welding a door hinge? i've shopped around there are shops that charge waaay off the wall. from 250 per side to 25 per side. so is 25 a fair price or anyone think it should be lesser than that?

you can't get anything for $25 anymore. I would def. do it as long as the work is quality. i doubt you will get it any cheaper than $25 a side unless you find a buddy with a welder.

Default update

here's the pictures of the door hinges that i promise to post. it doesn't look all that good but at least i don't have to deal with that popping sound anymore. (i hope)
notice the driver side already chipped out. the passenger side looks better than the driver side and is more stable. 20 dollas per side- you can't ask for better.

yeah its ok, this EF won't be with me for long. reason why i got it was i needed a car right away and it was cheap. i don't hate this car but i don't like it. but i would never pick a domestic over an import. bottom line.

I've seen newbies with like 20 mins welding experience make a better bead than that.

you could have done it better if you did it yourself..
hell, JB Weld would probably be stronger (count the weld faults... wait the whole thing is a weld fault.)

the thing is that the hinge is not attached to that sheet metal, its broken underneath that. its not welded there from the factory.

one thing that pisses me off about the 88-91 chassis.

Some of the worst welding ive ever seen. If it holds, then . Shoulda just had a friend weld it or something. I don't think I would have payed for that.

I saw an episode of MacGyver where he welded better than that with an old car battery, some jumper cables and a few quarters.
