Default Body work

Ok i have this 91 CRX Si. well it was hit on the drivers side near the lower rear part of the door. the door has been replaced, but the lower side door jam is all dented in. my question was. can i got to a junk yard and cut out that side of of the car and door jam and have it welded on? like ill cut the same size piece out of my car too. or does anyone have some other advice on how to fix it? ill try to get a pic up so you will know what i am talking about. Thanks

if you go w/ the cut and weld idea...just make sure you cut a little more than you need so you can have some to work with...you can always take more off

good luck on whatever you decide to do

My other option is to try and bang it out and get it all to look good and kinda form back but i think that will be kinda hard. i just need to make it look better. it doesnt bother the door it closes smother than most new doors.

Depending on how bad it looks you could repair what you already have, well you could always repair what you have but replacing it might be faster.
If you want to fix what you have get a stud gun, grinder, body hammers, torch and start working.
And remember in a "high impact" area(doors always slamming) you dont want body filler or as little as possible and if you uise it try and keep it 3mm or thinner.

Buy an 8mm spot weld bit and drill the spot welds on the rocker out, be sure to drill in the center of the weld or you'll make it a mess trying to get it off. If you need anymore help IM me or make a post on http://www.hondaswap.com in the exterior/cosmetic section.

your saying drill them out if i am going to cut out the whole piece? What should i do about the inside b/c it is fully stripped you will be able to see where it was welded. i was thinking about just cleaning it up and when i have the out side re apainted paint the inside to also. that should cover it up ?
