Default anyone using ebay flex grinders?

hello,

i saw a rotary tool/flex grinder like that at a bike shop near my house,
and i thought about buying one for myself,

is it better/stronger then a dremel?

I have a tool very similar but it is made by Dumore. It wasnt cheap but it works very good. The one I have is WAY stronger than any Dremel. Its a very nice tool to have if you can afford it.

the motor will attract metal dust like no tomorrow though.
Those are a good alternative to air grinders.

it can be a bitch. you you bend the line...the cable will snap. you have to keep the line as straight as possible, like hang the motor from the cieling and have the tool come straight down.

that looks like it only takes 1/8 in shank stuff. you will want something that will work with 1/4" shank if you want to port.

I got one from Eastwood that I use for porting work. It does not have the torque of a good electric die grinder (which I use for roughing things out) but is easier to control and works fine for most porting work with the right bits and rolls. It is also nice for detail polishing work.
