So I'm looking into getting a RHD in the near future, and I live in CA.
We all know, CA SUCKS for modifying anything.
I would like to know, anyone who reps RHD in CA, do cops give you **** for having a RHD conversion? Or can they even tell that your RHD? Lol.
I would like to know before I make this my plan.
I don't want to buy something and just get a ticket for it.
Anyone?

Cause the car has all the usdm safety equipment and vin, unlike a jdm car.

 

yes they can give you a ticket even tow your car because when you put the rhd firewall in you would have removed the stock oem usdm vin, its illegal to tamper with any of the vins

 

this man is correct. your car is illegal if it is rhd due to tampering with the firewall ( safety equipment) and removing a VIN stamp.

 

Whats the point in making your car worse to drive in right hand traffic... must be real fun to spend alot of money and time on a mod and have to drive in reverse to get something out of a jack in the box drive through... sorry, but I dont get it. Sure if you get a japanese car from japan/uk/RHD country then fine, but to purposely do it?

I Daily drive my RHD Converted Civic Coupe and have had no Issues with the cops i was even pulled over by CHP a month ago for speeding and they didn't ask me a thing about the car being RHD and I've gone threw the drive thru many a times and have had no Issues and the looks you get from the workers and questions are hilarious
