Default 70-72 amp?

Hi, ive been looking people use 70-75 even for 16ga piping, i dont understand how's possible because when i use 70am in my tig i can melt very fast a 10shc or flange..could be possible it has to do with 110v USA and 230V europe?

I use a Ben-royal tig 200 made in Germany 200 inverter, i got it brand new almost 2 years ago..

Don't know who you saw using that much amperage for 16gauge.

More like 40ish.

set it to 75amps, that's what the pedal is for, to control the heat. Go do some welds and find what works for YOU. Not everyone is the same, there isn't a specific amp rating for everything. You certainly wouldn't be choosing 40 amps to weld 16ga Aluminum.

If you're talking about stainless steel you should be good with 40-45amps, if you use consistant heat without any kind of remote amperage control.

Ok, so 38-45amps should be good, depending on you welding technique.
