Check your IM, I responded and linked you to some aluminum pics done with my 180. REMEMBER: That was the first time I had ever touched a TIG machine...the machine does incrdeiblde on all metals. Ive done aluminum, mild steel, 4130, and SS and have NO COMPLAINTS once so ever.

You should be able to do just as good with the 180 as any other decent welder, why do you want pics from that welder specifically? Any project that is made by that welder, good or bad, is a result of the person welding it.

I understand that, I just really wanted to see if anyone put together an intake manifold with one, cause people are telling me it can't be done, or should not be done with the 180sd.

Just getting a lot of negative feedback on another site about the miller 180sd not being all that great for automotive use.

LOL. Im not sure what these other people are talking about. The 180 is right up top next to the TA185 when it comes to that size TIG machine for that general price range...
Maybe these other people just dont know how to use it or something...??? I dont understand...

i have one, but have only welded with it for maybe an hour or 2 tops...... my **** would scare ya lol. ill get some of my "practice beads" for ya. lol my buddy welded my latest manifold with the machine. it looks alot better than the last 2 manifolds that we made.

i also have heard the 180 wasnt too good for welding aluminum, and am interested in seeing someones work with it.

I learned to TIG on a sd180...welds stainless/mild just as good as any other machine ive used....the ONLY issue i ever had compared to the bigger machines was doing an intake manifold for my brothers car. It wasn't to great on the shitty thick OEM cast runners that i was welding a plenum too...other than that its great on AL. Its all in the user

Its to new for any pictures, I will get some as soon as the machine gets here. The pulse feature will be just like the 250dx from what I understand.

Miller has not even released it on there website, thats how new it is.
