Having a very difficult time coming up with a VX transmission. Looking specifically for a VX 3rd gear to use in my transmission build.

 

CX would be the same. HX would also be the same if not very close.

 

Not even a little. It's a 1.066 3rd. Cx and hx will both be overdriven.

 

CX and VX were the exact same transmission in the US market. Both have a 1.066 3rd gear.

You can also find the 1.033 3rd in the 88-91 CRX HF and Civic STD.

HX 3rd is only a small bit shorter at 1.166.

 

HX 3rd is 1.172. That is much shorter.

Having a very difficult time finding this. Lots of mis-information out there. The 92-95 vx trans is the only one with a 1.066 3rd gear.

 

Where are you located? I have a full d15z1 engine and transmission I'm selling... it's a true vx transmission.

Also, to the thread starter, if you ever found a Civic VX Transmission, I would be interested in purchasing the countershaft and final drive gear (or just the whole diff) from you to build a trans that I want, with a 3.25 final drive ratio. I would be interested in doing this if I cannot find a whole VX transmission.
