And before you pick a motor, make sure to hit "Search" and look at articles/threads on b18c1/b18b/b16 swaps and their advantages, disadvantages, uses, reliability.

Pick a motor that's right for you. If youve got enough money, go for the b18c1.

Good man. Pick a motor thats right. b18C1 is a great platform to start off with. Good power and everything plus you can make it go even faster when you put cash into it.

Yes, it's got good gearing with the stock tranny, it responds well to bolt-ons, it good for boost.

It's the most well rounded motor choice In my Opinion.

you can pick up the B18B1 (LS) for dirt cheap...sometimes you can pick them up at junkyards for around 200 bucks and they're great for boost....

Screw a b16. Port a d16 and you'll have the same motor (Exaggeration)

ls with a b series tranny can be done for less than $1400. Hell, you can even get a nice clutch, flywheel, and get started on turbo parts list.

If I wasn't hard pressed on b18c1/h22 for my futre engine, I'd buy one of those.

But I'm not, so I'm saving.

Lets not get started on this again.

All 3 of those motors are great choices. Find out exactly how much you can afford for a swap right now and what you plan to do with the motor. If you are big baller and can afford a b18c or c1/h22 by all means go for it. You will be very pleased with either of those motors
