Looking for a shell...
Hey all!
I'm looking for a civic hatch (92-96 I think are the years...), or CRX, complete, but with no motor and no tranny. I would prefer to have the whole interior, and a perfect body, but I guess I can deal with a dinged up hood, or something along those lines.
Naturally, the cheaper the better, but if it will help any, I have a 97 Jetta that I'd be willing to trade (it would have to be a stock civic hatch, including motor and tranny, or just a car with no motor or tranny, but had extras). Prefer it to be close to Pittsburgh, PA.
Suspension:
Lowered on Eibach springs (the ones with the lesser drop…1.75” before settling)
Exterior:
Wings West Touring wing (Blah, I know...I hate it)
Golf front-end
Boser hood extension (the proper name for it is the “Bad Boy” eyebrow, but I think that sounds gay…)
Badgeless grill (3 bar)
Smoked front turns
Replaced the dummy lenses in the front bumper with air ducts
Smoked side bumper indicators
Top half of tails smoked
European license plate holder
New paint (Windsor Blue, which is a factory color). There are a few rock chips in the hood though…
Interior:
Digital Audio speakers all around (They aren’t very good…at all)
Alpine CDA-9815 headunit
Sparco shift ****
Sparco Rev seats (They are staying with me though…They are my uncles)
European headlight switch (lets you have a myriad of lighting options)
Engine:
2.0 4cyl
GIAC Chip
ABD strut braces in the front and the back
Stock exhaust (more on this later)
ABD “Big Bore” intake
Neuspeed intake bracket
Some generic filter
Wheels:
16 inch BBS RK look a-likes w/brand new tires
Kumho 205/45/R16 tires which are brand new. It also has two spare tires (not mounted, obviously) which have about a season left in'em.
The bads:
The car won’t always idle. It will, however, if you have the air conditioning on.
Car blows condensation out of the vents sometimes. Can also hear water behind them. I was told this is a sign of a bad heater core.
Power steering has a leak somewhere. I’m going to be getting this fixed at the next oil change, however.
Car seems to be leaking coolant also. As I said above, I’m going to have this checked, and fixed at the next oil change.
Now, about the exhaust. I had a custom one on a while ago, but it started to melt the back bumper. The bumper isn’t bad, but one can see where it was damaged. So, to avoid it melting more, I put a stock exhaust back on. I do, however, have a magnaflow 'turbo' muffler that will go with it.
Thanks!
