XTD 4 Puck Question
Hello everyone. I am hoping I did not make too great of a mistake. I purchased this XTD Stage 3/ 4 puck clutch kit from craigslist. I have a 98 HX d16y5 rated at like 115 HP. Did I make a mistake in purchasing this? My clutch is slipping and was in need of a new one. Will this clutch be too heavy on my motor or cables? I will soon be going OBDI with full cat-back exhaust with headers, eventually turbo. Please tell me weather or not I made a mistake. This thing doesn't even look like what I'm used to seeing. I just jumped on it because the price was good.

You will be ok. A little over kill though with the 4puck. FYI I had a XTD 6puck sprung that shatered on my F20b. Maybe 30k on it. But I may or may have not have locked in the throw out bearing correctly.
So back to your original questions. I looks like the kit is brand new. Take care to do proper breakin (250-300 miles). The pressure plate looks to be a regular heavy duty, basicly better than OEM. If you want an idea about clutch application swing over to the ACT website. They give HP and TQ relationships to your clutch. Hope I helped
