What fluid to use?

Default What fluid to use?

I have a 95 accord 5 speed and im not sure what to put in the tranny for fluid. The book a read said to use 10w40 but the car has 80w90 in it i was just wondering what would be best?

Honda MTF is best, i used 10w30 before and worked fine.

Honda MTF...using a heavy weight fluid will damage the transmission....Seen it many times! Creates too much heat and burns it up internally....and there is no going back
