Hi HT, recently I change my tranny oil, the fill it up through the VSS hole. After all done now my speedometer not working. I turn the cable using drill, it work fine, the speedo neede in cluster works. And when I turn the gear on VSS, the shaft thingy where the cable go in, turns too. I put that one groove on cable right where a groove line inside the VSS, but still not working. Anything else I should do, or any tricks? Or did I broke something? Btw it's a Y1 tranny with OEM LSD, and the oil I put it is Amsoil synchromesh tranny oil. Thanks ahead.

 

Just done more test, connect the VSS and the cable then turn it with electric drill, it works. But when I install it, it still not working. So is this mean I broke something in the tranny? Help please

Have you checked the wires for the vss?

 

It's cable VSS or it's not even a VSS cause it's mechanical. So there is no wires, just cable, and it working when I hook it up to the electric drill and turn it, but not working when I install it.
